VideoGen raises $3.3M seed after passing 5 million users

VideoGen has raised a $3.3 million seed round after passing 5 million users in more than 190 countries.

Y Combinator (S24), Rebel Fund, Lobster Capital, and Stretford End Capital joined the round. Mento VC, Pioneer Fund, and Decacorn VC also participated. VideoGen will use the funding to grow its team and brand.

From $30,000 to 5 million users

Co-founders Anton Koenig and David Grossman launched VideoGen in August 2023 with $30,000 from their internship savings. The company bootstrapped for its first year before joining Y Combinator in summer 2024.

Today, VideoGen serves individual creators, small businesses, and teams at Fortune 500 companies. Its AI agents guide people through workflows that turn a brief or uploaded media into fully editable videos.
